“SlovoEd” dictionaries now support Arabic and Hebrew languages
Paragon Software (SHDD) released a number of lexical databases for new version of
multilingual dictionary “SlovoEd 2005” for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile and the new
Windows Mobile 5.0.
In addition to existing 150 lexical databases were added the following ones:
- Arabic-English,
- Arabic-Russian,
- Hebrew-English,
- Hebrew-Russian.
All functional opportunities of “SlovoEd 2005” are available for the new lexical databases, in particular:
- sound module support (opportunity to install add-on word pronunciation module);
- several methods of foreign words learning;
- user interface available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Russian;
- phonetic transcriptions;
- search module which enables to find the word even if you don’t know its exact spelling
and others.
Moreover, to provide data input in national languages Paragon Software (SHDD) has
localization treatments. For example, Arabic and Hebrew localizations can be used with the new
lexical datadases.

In the future Paragon Software (SHDD) plans to widen functional opportunities of “SlovoEd”
dictionaries and release version of the dictionary as a Java application.

PenReader increases recognition quality
Paragon Software (SHDD) continues to develop the handwriting recognition
software PenReader and released a new improved version of the system PenReader
2005 Professional Edition for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile.
The new version provides improved recognition quality and broadened vocabulary
used in orthographical analysis. Moreover, a number of recognized languages was
doubled. So now PenReader 2005 Professional Edition software recognizes English,
German, French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Czech, Polish and Russian languages.
Also new version has calculator that operates in two different modes: it is
possible to bring out to screen all arithmetical expression and its summary or just
summary without any calculations.
