Paragon Software (SHDD) announces the update of PiLoc localization technology for Palm OS

Paragon Software (SHDD) announces the update of PiLoc localization technology for Palm OS. More than 30 of supported languages are available now for palmOne Tungsten T5.

Tungsten T5 localization provides the common PiLoc functionality including national language keyboard layouts, national Graffiti layouts (except some languages), national fonts and national hardware keyboards support, that provide the ability to use national language in any application on Tungsten T5.

PiLoc technology for palmOne Tungsten T5 provides the correct work with specific language while using the Documents To Go office package as well.

As a result of this release PiLoc localization system is available now for all models manufactured by palmOne.

It is worth to mention that Russian PiLoc for Tungsten T5 was released at the same time the device was officially announced in Russia, on November 11th. Italian PiLoc was developed on request of Italian palmOne and was released before the device was officially announced in Italy, on November 14th. For previous models palmOne Italy used ROM localization provided by PalmSource, but now PiLoc localization is used as more economically effective. All new Tungsten T5 devices sold in Italy are bundled with PiLoc Italian localization.

Full interface translations are available now for both Russian and Italian languages.

New SlovoEd dictionaries for Palm OS released

Paragon Software (SHDD) officially announces the release of a new 4.14 version of popular SlovoEd dictionaries for Palm OS based devices.

NEW IN THIS VERSION:

Dictionary now supports 320x480 and 480x320 resolutions on such devices as Tungsten T3, Sony Clie UX50 and others.
Popular eBook-readers TiBR Pro and Plucker are supported now.
Resident module is now working on devices with hardware keyboard (Tungsten W, Treo 600, Treo 270).
New devices are supported: Xplore G88, Tungsten T5
Several other enhancements are made.

NEW DICTIONARIES

SlovoEd 4.14 comes as usual with the vide variesty of new lexicons from known linguistic companies, specially adapted for usage on Palm OS based devices.

The French dictionary (93 138 entries);
The English dictionary (100 694 entries);
Italian-English–Italian (56 454 entries);
Portuguese-English–Portuguese (73 724 entries);
French–Spanish-French (82 441 entries);
Latin-English-Latin (40 528 entries);
Spanish-Portuguese–Spanish (43 609 entries).

Lexicons based on the leading VOX dictionary solution (www.vox.es), the best-quality and famous in Spain as well as in US dictionaries of "classic" Spanish, powered by Spes Editorial (www.larousse.es; www.diccionarios.com):

The Spanish dictionary (111 926 entries);
Spanish–English-Spanish (67 742 entries).

The new achievement in SlovoEd technology - Arabic language support:

English-Arabic-English (27 060 entries) by Abdelsattar Ali;
Russian-Arabic-Russian (21 623 entries) by MMTech.

Also Paragon Software presents the following dictionaries:

The English dictionary of abbreviations (14 665 entries) by Hein van Steenis;
French-Romanian (12 093 entries) & English-Romanian (11 903 entries) dictionaries powered by Editura Litera Int., leading Romanian linguistic company.

New features in PiLoc localization system for palmOne Treo 600

New feature was added to PiLoc localization system for Treo 600: SMS support is available now for Russian, Arabic and Hebrew languages.

This solution of one of the most critical problems of national language support for smartphones allows customers to send and receive SMS messages in his native language with palmOne Treo 600 smartphone.

PiLoc for palmOne Treo 600 provides national language support in built-in Blazer web browser.

Paragon Software (SHDD) also releases the Full edition of PiLoc for Brazilian Portuguese language, which was developed on request of palmOne Brazil. Brazilian Potuguese PiLoc localization provides the complete national language interface translation for palmOne Treo 600. For previous models palmOne used ROM localization provided by PalmSource, but now PiLoc localization is used as more economically effective. All new Treo 600 devices sold in Brazil are bundled with PiLoc Brazilian Portuguese localization.

Paragon Software (SHDD) as an exclusive distributor presents the TopCal - Jewish Calendar. With TopCal you have handy actual information about Jewish holidays on present day:

Detailed information about the events on selected date (including Weekly Torah portion, candle lighting times, end of Shabbat/Chag, and other special Shabbat information).
Possibility of inporting the Hebrew dates, Holidays, first of month (Rosh Hodesh) from the TopCal into the Date book.

Use Belarusian on Treo 680 device with Belarusian PiLoc

Paragon Software (SHDD) have released Belarusian language support for Palm OS based devices: the new member in PiLoc localization system product line. Belarusian PiLoc provides the convenient way of inputting text with the on-screen keyboard and Graffiti, correct work with the Belarusian text (search, sorting etc).

Belarusian PiLoc is available in two versions: for Palm OS 3.0-4.1 based devices and for the Palm OS 5.0-5.2 based devices.
