Mehr Sicherheit für S60 Smartphones wird auf der CeBIT 2008 vorgestellt

Freiburg, Februar 29, 2008 – Die Abteilung Epocware der Paragon Software Group präsentiert Handy Blacklist 3.0 für S60 3rd Edition-Geräte auf Symbian OS. Handy Blacklist 3.0 schützt die Privat¬sphäre von Handy-Nutzern, indem es unerwünschte Anrufe blockiert. Das spart Zeit und Nerven.

Mit dem Programm lassen sich Telefonnummern von unerwünschten Anrufern unterdrücken und gleichzeitig dauerhaft oder auch nur vorübergehend auf eine schwarze Liste setzen. Damit schützt sich der Handyeigentümer vor lästigen Anrufen von Callcentern, Unbekannten und Bekannten. Alle blockierten Anrufe und Mitteilungen werden in einer Log-Datei gespeichert.

Auch eine weiße Liste lässt sich einfach erstellen: auf dieser stehen alle Personen, deren Anrufe durchkommen sollen, während alle anderen abgelehnt werden. Per Knopfdruck auf „Reject“ können selbst unerwünschte Textmitteilungen an den Absender zurückgeschickt werden. Damit keine wichtigen Anrufe übersehen werden, zeigt Handy Blacklist 3.0 ein Protokoll der entgangenen Anrufe an. Zusätzlich steht im Display, ob gerade die weiße oder die schwarze Liste aktiv ist.

Handy Weather ist ein Service für Smartphones mit Internetzugang und bietet Wettervorhersagen für mehr als 15.000 Städte weltweit. Vom 11. bis 14. Februar 2008 wurde dieser Service dem Fachpublikum auf der Messe Mobile World Congress in Barcelona vorgestellt.

Handy Weather liefert rund um die Uhr umfassende Wettervorsagen über den Intellicast-Server, der schon seit über 10 Jahren mehr als vier Millionen Abonnenten zuverlässig mit Wettervorhersagen versorgt. Jetzt sorgt der Paragon-Software-Server dafür, dass bis zu zwei Millionen Nutzer gleichzeitig schnell auf diese Wetterdaten zugreifen können.

Die Wetter-Software bietet Vorhersagen für das Wetter vor Ort und für weit entfernte Gebiete mit Temperaturanzeige in Celsius oder Fahrenheit. Der Nutzer kann sich im Nu für 15.000 Städte auf der ganzen Welt detaillierte, professionelle Vorhersagen für die nächsten fünf Tage anzeigen lassen. Einzige Voraussetzung, um überall schnell auf die Wetterdaten zugreifen zu können, ist WLan-Kompatibilität.

Handy Weather zeigt:

• Maximale und minimale Tagestemperatur in Celsius oder Fahrenheit
• Temperaturkurven
• Windrichtung, Windböen und Windgeschwindigkeit
• UV-Index
• Luftdruck und Sichtweite
• Luftfeuchte und andere wichtige Wetterdaten

Außerdem verfügt die neue Version von Handy Weather über eine Funktion, die ganze Weltkarten mit verschiedenen Vorhersagen zeigt: aktuelle Temperaturkarten, Satellitenbilder und Wetterkarten. Je nach Bedarf können Benutzer die Kartenansichten in verschiedenen Größen betrachten: normal, ganze Seite und Vollbildschirm. Die Wettervorhersagen können in bestimmten Zeitabständen (4, 8, 12 oder 24 Stunden) oder zu einem voreingestellten Zeitpunkt aktualisiert werden. Außerdem wird die Wettervorhersage automatisch auf Ihr Telefon heruntergeladen, unabhängig davon, ob Handy Weather gerade läuft oder nicht.
