New version of handwriting recognition software for Windows Mobile Pocket PC

Paragon Software (SHDD) released a new advanced version of handwriting recognition software PenReader for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile - PenReader 2005 Professional Edition.

In addition to improved graphic сore this version includes orthographic module that has built-in dictionaries of English, German, Russian and Czech languages. Thus the module enables dramatically improve handwriting recognition quality.

In case of unclear handwriting of a symbol PenReader 2005 offers several different variants of its recognition. Then the software remembers the chosen one. So it adapts to the handwriting of particular user.

The classical 28-language version of PenReader is also available on the company's site.

In the future Paragon Software (SHDD) plans to extend the list of supported languages.

Epocware - Developer of the Year 2005

June 24, 2005 – Epocware and Handy Day 2005, an application developed by Epocware, are announced the Developer of the Year and the Best Application for Work 2005.

Handango, the leading provider of mobile downloads, announced the winners of the Handango Champion Awards 2005.

At this annual ceremony held while Handango Partner Summit, Handango recognizes the best applications that provide customers with innovative solutions and honors the development companies that made a significant contribution to the mobile software ecosystem throughout the previous year.

The winners in each category are chosen by a panel of industry experts and media across all mobile platforms and software categories.

Solutions by Epocware / Paragon Software Group that promote Symbian OS software experience and development from year to year get the highest marks and awards both from customers, software providers and manufactures.

This year Handango Champion Awards are especially remarkable for the company. Epocware is mentioned twice among the Champion Award Winners 2005:

• Epocware is proclaimed as the Developer of the Year for UIQ for its outstanding software development, committed customer care and forward-thinking innovation.
• Handy Day 2005 by Epocware is recognized the Best Application for Work.

This is not the first time when Epocware and its products are distinguished by Handango. Epocware was awarded for the Outstanding Achievements in Symbian OS software development in 2002.
