Paragon Software and Brockhaus Duden Neue Medien GmbH Enter into Global Agreement

Famous DUDEN Dictionaries Now Available for Mobile Devices

Freiburg, Germany – 23 January 2008 - Paragon Software Group and Brockhaus Duden Neue Medien GmbH have entered into a global agreement. As a result of this strategic collaboration, 4 essential DUDEN dictionaries were accommodated by Slovoed dictionary engine: Duden – German spelling dictionary (Duden - Die deutsche Rechtschreibung), Duden – German dictionary of synonyms (Duden - Das Synonymwörterbuch), Duden – German dictionary of foreign words (Duden - Fremdwörterbuch) and Duden – German explanatory dictionary (Duden - Deutsches Universalwörterbuch). They can be purchased and downloaded from Paragon’s websites: www.epocware.com, www.epocware.mobi, www.penreader.com, www.penreader.mobi and www.soft4phone.com. The Duden – German spelling dictionary costs 19,95 Euro, the Duden – German dictionary of foreign words and Duden – German dictionary of synonyms are available respectively for 21,95 Euro and the price of the Duden – German explanatory dictionary is 29,95 Euro.

Designed to bring an overall convenience of handheld translation, these best-selling and comprehensive dictionaries support the diverse range of mobile platforms: Symbian (S60 3^rd Edition and UIQ 3.0), Windows Mobile (Pocket PC and Smartphone editions), Palm OS, Java and BlackBerry.

The mobile version of the Duden - German Spelling dictionary corresponds to 24-th edition of the basic work ”Duden – Die deutsche Rechtschreibung” with 130 000 keywords, more than 500 000 illustrative examples, meanings, pronunciations, grammar references, words’ etymology and style. Duden – German dictionary of foreign words contains more than 55 000 foreign words and technical terms and provides overall information about loan-words in German contemporary language. The Duden – German dictionary contains 300 000 synonyms for more than 20 000 most frequently used German words. Duden – German explanatory dictionary contains 150 000 words and phrases with pronunciation samples, more than 500 000 meanings and usage examples.
